Drunk Confession


It was months since I last stepped in this house. It was all quite & lit with candles. I staggered my way on the aisle as i supported myself on the seats. Everyone I passed along my path changed her vision towards me. It got to my attention that there was no man in the whole building. This confirms the theory,, men build houses, women make them. I got to the front & everyone had their eyes on me.

Hey hey, don't leave God hanging, continue praying... you think you are the only ones who hate to be left hanging? hic!!

 I left them all amazed at me as I made my way to the booth. This space is really small. Trust me, if you are fat, not chubby nor thick, i said if you are fat, let the priest come to you, dont go to him.

KNOCK!! KNOCK!! Is anyone home, sorry I mean, is anyone in here? hic!! HELLLOOOO!!

Father forgive me, for I have sinned. It's been months... no, it's been years since I last stepped into a church.

What is it my son?

Well... hic!! I dont know where to start.

Are you drunk?

Who said I'm? If I'm not staggering I'm not drink. Furthermore they say we speak the truth when drunk. Dont ask me who they are, but they say so... hic!! I'm not drunk but I'm drunk.

Okay what are your sins?

Not sure whether to call it sin but i feel so.

Aaah!! women.

Would you shut up & allow me to finish speaking. So, there is this lady. Well I like her alot but I'm afraid she might not feel the same for me. I consider her out of my league. I feel if i tell her & she feels the same about me, she will be settling for less, I mean, have you seen me? Then again if I dont, i'll be maybe delaying my future for her, & will set my goals to low. Do you feel me? She is beautiful, she is not a snack but a whole buffet.

So what is your sin son?

I dont know, well maybe right now my only sin is bringing alcohol to church. No! wait... ypu guys have alcohol in here too, right?

Hehehe... Son the Bible says love one another, & a person who finds a wife finds a good thing. It also compares the love of Jesus Christ to the church is like that of a bride. By those words I can tell you really like her.

True I do... hic!!

Then why do you want to settle for less youself. Look at it this way, dont you think it will be also a sin if you dont go for her? Again, we are all beautifully made. Who said you are ugly. You are handsome to someone, if not her then who? Dont expect things will be handed to you everyday. If you never ask you will never know.

This ended real quick. I expected a long conversation but it's okay, but you never had to be hard.

I got things to do & there is a line outside.

I left with the booth all confused. Maybe I never got the answers I wanted, but he did speak everything I knew. What was my purpose here then?
