Famine in Kenya

I live in a country where currently, politics are the main issues running on the television 24/7. We are already in the limelight of the world being the third country where elections were nullified and the first in Africa. But with all this going on we forget there are other problems. Even when politicians sway us to go against our neighbours and boycot certain commodities, I respect that. We are all entitled to our own opinions & the decision is all ours to make.
The long heat has affected most part of the country mostly the Marsabit part. I have never, personally, experienced hunger and starvation but the view in the pic above I dont think I would like to. It once hit me, why would one starve to death while there are cows and goats grazing? Untill I got to learn thats their wealth. They way people from central region value their land, they also value their herds the same way. If one would die just for his herds to survive that means alot to people.
The picture above was talen from Marsabit region. That's a clear example what is happening there. Now that the rains have started we should be grateful, but they have their lows too considering some places have flooded. When you are all happy at home you've got everything or when you lack just slite thing just be grateful for there is one who wishes (s)he had what you have.

It wouldn't hurt to share...
