15 Roses
Technically speaking, currently imperfection is the new perfect in this world. If you are imperfect, you are normal. We hide behind our mistakes convincing ourselves that no one is perfect. That we all do mistakes. That we are all bond to do a miss, and not one, in our entire lives. Some of us hide our sins behind jokes, “I was only joking”. The tongue is a powerful tool in our lives, and words can either bring great life or great hurt. Joking is not a crime. Proverbs 17;22 Being cheerful keeps you healthy. It is slow death to be gloomy all the time. But also it has got its limits too. Ephesians 4;29 do not use harmful words, but only helpful words, the kind that build up and provide what is needed, so that what you say will do good to those who hear you.
I have sinned, and not once, but many times, a lot. I don’t know much about you, but I know myself. Saying I’m a good person, well, that would be lying, no matter how much I want it to be true. Now take a minute to think back. Does anywhere in the Bible permit us to sin? Any kind of sin? I know I’m not perfect (it’s not in any case my defence), but the Lord didn’t give us permission to sin too. We are not to stray from God’s way at any cost. Small sin or big sin, all are sins. God provides us in the Bible with commandments to follow in our daily lives.
God gave humanity His laws to show us His love. Sin is violation of the law of God. No matter the cause of it. Even if it is for a good cause at the end. Hard times have been there and sometimes we have to take the wrong way out because we thought it was the easier way out of the problem. That it was only a one-time thing, that it will never happen again. What if dejavu happens and you meet yourself in the same situation again? Don’t we still get to do the same thing as we did the first time. Just cause maybe it’s quick and easy to do it than wait for a rightful solution. Doing wrong may look easy and fast, but it’s not to the least amount good, at all. But there is always an easier solution than that we did the first time. Seeking God to help us. He already provided us with an easier solution to our problems. Just praying to Him and asking for what we want. He is the provider for all.
Everything has a cost in this life. From the simplest act to the biggest deed in our lives. The wages of sins are death. Romans 6;23 for sin pays its wage – death; but God’s free gift is eternal life in union with Christ Jesus our Lord. Some of us have wronged people in or lives. But did we care and try to feel how they felt afterwards? What kind of impact we created in their lives? How many of us turned and went back to say sorry after realizing your mistake? After sinning and realizing what we’ve done, do we pray and say sorry to our creator?
Saying SORRY may seem very minute, but it actually creates a big impact to some of us in our minds. It’s His mercy that we are here. Not our own will, but His own. Don’t just say sorry just for the sake of it, mean it too. Remember our Lord knows us all, inside and outside. He knew us even before we were born. The ten commandments provide us with boundaries of things we are not to do. Jesus died for our sins, so saying sorry to the Lord doesn’t hurt at all. So I take this chance, for all my wrong doings Lord, and to those I caused harm to, physically or mentally, here are my fifteen roses.
It wouldn’t hurt to share.
