Who are They?

Do you ever sit down and look at the people who surround you? Like seriously speaking. From enemies, family to friends. I decided to do a countdown of the people in my life and discovered that the circle is quite big. But I choose to group them differently.
Family- this are the people you will, and have to, know all of your lifetime. They know mostly all about you. They will be there from birth to death. These people have got some advantages too. For example, get together and family meetings. These are the people who will come carrying goodies (I have to admit; I always check on what is brought. I even make a prayer, hours before they arrive, on what I want). But some of these people tend to be judgmental, not all. They are the people who will always come to see on your doings, and gossip about it on their way home (don’t you worry, years to come, I promise to give you a lot to talk about).

Schoolmates- people who you studied with. You went to funkies with. You get to share old memories with. The good and hard times way back in school. The only problem I got with these people is one. They make sure they never ever forget your embarrassing moments and funny nicknames. I’m talking about people like you Zach (my high school desk mate who slept a lot in preps, with a slow walking style. You should see him walking) I remember one time in primary school years, when my class teacher decided to make a joke of me. All she said was, “Ngugi, wira waku nu kunyita mufira ta kienyu kia ngima haha” (all you do is to hold the ball like a piece of ugali). No one ever forgot about that.

Working class- people who know all the hustles in a business. These I got to share with the chosen few and groups like #TCYG (having a job while studying isn’t easy). These are the people who know all the sacrifices you have to make just to keep the job knowing all your expenses are paid from there. All the fun things you have to miss just because your boss wants you in the office on a weekend.

Fun friends- people you get to hang out with. People like #Elites, #AL, #home_buddies etc. Here the group is large. These are the crazy ones, trust me. Why say so? They are the ones who will want to discover new things with you no matter how dangerous it is. These are the ones who will injure you (physical injuries), then take you to hospital, say sorry and at the end of the day will make a joke all about it. You better injure them than they injure you. They are the ones who will call you all sorts of names. The names Edu calls me are not even worth mentioning. But it’s no fun if you don’t do the same to them. Have I ever hurt you? Don’t expect me to say sorry. Nop, no way, never, not gonna happen any time soon.

All in all, I’m thankful to you all for orbiting around my life and please don’t come in for a landing any time soon. In short, I’m grateful for my crazy, psychopath, maniac, insane and lunatic friends. Any time you feel like coming to the asylum, I promise to be your personal psychiatrist. See you then.

It wouldn’t hurt to share…
