I Have a Log in my Eye

I’m into movies and series a lot and currently I’m watching Smallville (remember this series? Most of us were children when it came on that Grate wall/Panasonic tv your parents had. Personally I was the remote in our house) We all have our favorite movie(s) (ladies, let’s get things clear, soap z not a movie. So don’t you be thinking of things like Camilla. I know some of you even forgot there was ever such a thing). For me any genre with good story line is considered a good movie. I don’t care whether its comedy, action (most of us are into this two categories), drama, horror, documentary or even reality shows. A good movie is a good movie.

So, there other day I was invited to go watch a movie by my friend at her house (when I say to watch a movie, I really mean to watch a movie. Don’t you be jumping into conclusions. So stop thinking of what you are thinking. It was nothing more than a movie). She said she couldn’t tell me what movie it was but she promised it would be interesting.

Me; How do you know it’s interesting? Have you watched it?

Her; I haven’t watched it but I hear its good. I was recommended by my friend.

Me again; what is it called?

Her; Why don’t you come over and find out.

This dude; Hope there will be pop corns?

Her; Has my house ever lacked food?

Same guy; hehe… no wonder you can’t stop gaining weight.

Her; And you can never stop getting skinny (for your information, I’m not skinny, I just refuse to be obese)

I decided to play along. She had the tendency of watching boring movies, according to me. So I decided to go, not cause of the movie but for the food (most men would go for the same reason too, unless you are #teammafisi who are also known as “your hyenaness”). On arrival she had not yet gotten back home (I’m always curious, why are you ladies always late on everything?) I called her and told her she’ll meet me at her house (yeah, I had the key to the house).

On opening the door, first thing was to had to the washroom. I had to create space for what was coming, why lie. Have you ever sat on a toilet seat with your phone on your hand, and to sweeten things up, there is free wi-fi? Trust me when I tell say you can stay for an hour in there, or even more. As long as you carry an air freshener (if you lack that, then R.I.P it was NOT a pleasure knowing you).

She later arrived and the movie stated. When watching a movie, the following must take place. Keep the food next to you, take the most comfortable seat, visit the loo, turn your phone to silent mode to avoid disturbance and finally switch the lights off (now you have improvised a cinema hall in your house). This is where I don’t tell you the name of the movie. Why, you ask? All you need to know is that the movie is touching and emotional. When I say touching, as a man, just know to a lady its very touching. Why I say its emotional its cause at the end of the movie I swear I dropped a tear or two (it’s not a crime to cry but crying because of a movie scene is worse). Immediately the movie was over I was at the door (wait, you thought something was to happen after the movie? mmmhh Sorry!!). I never waited for the questions afterwards (I couldn’t let her see me with tears. I know some ladies love men who are emotional but this was never the moment to show how I can drop a tear. Furthermore, she could never stop joking about it for the rest of my fucked up life). All I said was I had to be somewhere very early in the morning. If only she knew I was planning to sleep all day…
